A vibrant vintage ruby cluster cocktail ring from the mid 20th century, c1960! Made of sterling silver, the ring boasts fifteen bright purplish pink rubies in a fanciful and tiered cluster with textured silver flutes scattered throughout the asymmterical design.
The vibrant rubies are the older Thai material - natural earth mined type indicative of the internal inclusions (the majority of Thailand mining deposits are now depleted) adding a touch of nostalgia to the ring! Collectively, the natural Thai rubies weigh 3.00ctw, each measuring approx 3.30mm - 3.50mm diameter.
Resting in individual claw settings, the rubies are placed in a tiered wire basket design, forming a striking elongated three-dimensional look with a fabulous 1" inch spread down the finger! The cluster rests atop of a 2.70mm-wide smooth band, stamped 925 denoting sterling silver.
The ring measures O (Aus/UK) or 7 & 1/2 (USA).
