An elegant antique paste and pearl bangle from the Edwardian era, c1910's! Made of bright 18ct yellow gold, this lovely bangle originates from Malta in Europe. It features a pretty pink paste stone, flanked by white half pearls, all resting in classic collet settings and bordered by a tapered rail and gold intervals in between the stones. Concaved bars and stylized motifs finish the top half design. A polished squared 2.50mm wide tube makes up the rest of the hinged oval-wrist shaped bangle. There is a secure tongue closure and a safety figure eight latch attaches to the side for extra security.
Stamped '18' denoting 18ct gold and other marks difficult to decipher, albeit typical with older European (Malta) marks.
The size of the bangle measures 18.50cm (7 & 1/4) around the inside, and the inside diameter measures 6.00cm (2 & 1/2") across the widest part of the oval. The bangle would suit a medium to large sized wrist.

The condition of the antique bangle is very good. Besides general surface wear and some teeny dings, the bangle presents very good for it's 100+ year age. Clasp closes securely and hinge works well. Stones appear secure |
