A sweet marcasite wreath brooch from the mid to late 20th century! Made of sterling silver with an anti-tarnish rhodium finish, the vintage brooch emulates a leaf and berry wreath accented with sparkling marcasite stones. The unusual oval shape is lovely, and the little leaves are accented with a milgrain edging, adding extra charm. All the marcasite stones are hand set indicative of authentic vintage marcasite jewellery. A pin and revolver clasp attaches to the back, as well there is a safety chain/pin attachment for added security whilst wearing (this can be removed if desired!). Stamped "STERLING" denoting sterling silver.
The brooch measures 3.00cm x 2.50cm.

| The condition of the brooch is excellent. Besides normal surface wear and some mild rhodium eroding, the brooch presents in fabulous condition. There are no marcasite stones missing, or damaged, and all appear original hand-set stones. A lovely vintage piece! |
