A sensational vintage diamond wreath brooch from the mid 20th century, c1960! Beautifully hand made of 18ct white and yellow gold accents, this divine three-dimensional circular diamond brooch depicts a fanciful wreath adorned with flowers, leaves and meandering stems. Fourty-six dazzling diamonds are meticulously incorporated within the design. Each are individually handset in various settings including bezel-set flowers, bead-set leaves, and a claw-set graduated line to the top as well as claw-settings to the wire tops near the bottom of the design. The elaborate hand-wrought asymmetrical wreath design is sensational - a treat to the eye! Collectively the diamonds weigh approximately 2.31cts, ranging from 0.01cts smallest to 0.20cts largest. A secure pin and revolver clasp attaches to the back, additionally there is a ring if you wish to add a safety chain/pin.
The piece measures 4.00cm height tip to tip x 3.60cm side to side.
