A magnificent vintage diamond ribbon brooch from the mid 20th century, c1940's! Beautifully hand made of 18ct white gold, this showstopping three-dimensional diamond brooch depicts a fanciful elongated ribbon design with glamorous Retro influences.
Sixty-four dazzling diamonds are meticulously incorporated within the design. Each are individually handset in various settings including a tapered row of channel-set baguette diamonds, a scintillating trail of bead-set smaller diamonds and claw-set larger diamonds tucked in at the bottom (or top) of the design. Collectively the diamonds weigh approximately 2.10cts, ranging from 0.015cts smallest to 0.35cts largest. The diamonds exhibit stunning F/H colour range and VS-SI clarity range.
A secure pin and revolver clasp attaches to the back and a safety chain/pin is secured for extra security. Additionally, there is a soldered ring attached along the same side as the safety chain, giving you an option of converting the piece into a necklace, if you desire.
The piece measures 5.50cm long x 1.90cm max height.

Upon purchase, the brooch would be accompanied by an updated photographic valuation certificate for insurances purposes, carried out independently by a registered NCJV/FGAA valuer. A previous independent valuation certificate on the piece, dated 22nd January 2024, has a Retail Replacement value of $15,850 AUD. This can be sighted upon request.
The brooch is accompanied in its vintage navy with gold trim silk and velvet lined case. A Mid-Century masterpiece!

The condition of the vintage brooch presents excellent. Besides normal surface wear, the brooch is in superb condition with no visible wear to the settings or design. Diamonds appear intact and secure in their settings. Pin clasp works well, and revolver retains firmness when secured |
