A pair of charming antique trinket jewellery boxes from the Art Nouveau era, c1910's! Made of silver plate, these beautiful antique boxes have high relief roses, leaves and stems all in wonderful Art Nouveau manner. The inside of the boxes reveal elegant flower-accented silk fabric and cotton wadding; one box has pale mint green silk lining and the other has a pink silk lining (upper lining is missing). Both of the boxes are hinged and footed ...adding further whimsical charm! Both boxes retain a natural darkened patina, albeit can be polished if you desire. Commensurate with age, one of the boxes has a slight crack on the lid, otherwise both present well for their 100+ year age!
Size of the boxes measure 10cm (4") long x 8.50cm (3 & 1/4") wide x 7.50cm (3") height (measured from maximum points).
