A charming sterling silver antique photo frame from the early Edwardian era, c1901! This small framed English photo frame is embellished with beautiful repousse work to the front. The ornate design reminiscent of the wonderful Art Nouveau era with sinuous organic lines and blooming flowers. The frame consists of purple velvet with a hinged back opening to reveal the original inner glass and mint green silk lining. A replacement wire support-stand swivels to the back (this can be removed if desired).
Birmingham hallmarks date the photo frame to year 1901, and makers marks 'W & H' represent long-established UK silversmiths, Walker & Hall.
The photo frame measures 8.30cm height x 5.80cm across, and photo size measures approx. 5.50cm x 3.00 cm.

The condition of the antique photo frame is good. The frame does display general surface wear and patina consistent with the 120+ year age. The back stand has been replaced and general velvet fabric scuffing is evident. The interior is in superb condition |
