A fantastic and unique gold necklace from the mid 20th century, c1950! Made of 18ct yellow gold, the striking artful design has a whisper of Archeological revival and is comprised of articulated links of organic motifs which have polished and textured surfaces. The hollow design rests beautifully around the collar neckline, as well the smooth flat reverse side allows for a sleek feel whilst wearing. To the back of the necklace is an integrated tongue clasp and safety figure 8 which snaps nicely into place. Italian stamps "91 VI" reveal the necklace was made in Vicenza between 1944 - 1968. The piece also has the gold guarantee mark "750', denoting 18ct gold. Presenting in beautiful vintage condition!

Necklace length measures 17" (43cm) total length, and design measures 1.50cm wide.

A gorgeous mid century piece, the necklace looks fabulous as a collar necklace and could easily be layered with other necklaces, or just as nice by itself!
