A wonderful antique Guilloché enamel silver necklace from the early 1900's! The striking handcrafted festoon design is reminiscent of the fabulous Art & Crafts era and features five bight blue enamel circular dome stations with a spade shaped pendant.
There are two little rings to the side stations where (we presume) two pendants have become dislodged over the years. An original trace chain with barrel clasp makes up the rest of this gorgeous antique necklace. Tests indicate sterling silver.
To the back of one of the lower circle stations bears a Swan motif mark, the stamp perhaps belonged to a European School of Art or workshop. The stamp also may correlate with the French Swan import mark used from the late 19th century (though not identical). A bit of a mystery waiting to be solved!
The necklace measures 41cm (16") in total length, and approx 6cm front drop.

The antique necklace presents in good condition. Besides normal surface wear, slight enamel loss, and despite the side pendants becoming dislodged, the necklace is still very wearable, and does not detract from the overall aesthetics of the piece |
