A wonderful antique diamond cross necklace from the late Victorian era, c1900! Made of 9ct gold and topped in sterling silver, this spectacular diamond cross is lined with seventeen Old European Cut diamonds, and three Rose Cut diamonds resting in the bail. The diamonds, weighing approximately 2.58ctw, are absolutely stunning in their square millgrain accented settings, and the open backed design allows light to reflect, each dazzling with every turn! The top bail to the cross is graced with three little rose cut diamonds, as well further millgrain edging detail. The cross suspends nicely on an antique 16ct yellow gold multi-row necklace. The 45.50cm-long necklace comprises of a seven row fine belcher link chain with bar ends and bolt ring fastener. No stamps are sighted to the cross or necklace, both have been XRF tested.
Cross measures 5.40cm length (inc bail) x 2.90cm across.
Accompanying the piece is an independent FGAA/NCJV valuation certificate completed September of 2023 stating the RRP of $ 10,705 (AUD)
