This lovely antique locket, dating back circa 1880, is a stunning example of Victorian-era jewellery! Made of silver with metal inserts, the front showcases a detailed repousse buckle design, complemented by hand engravings of Ivy leaf vines, symbolizing everlasting love and immortality.
Measuring 6.10cm in total drop and 3.80cm in width, this locket offers ample space for cherished keepsakes or sentimental photographs. The reverse features an unmonogrammed shield cartouche surrounded by elaborate foliage engravings, enhancing its Victorian detail. The original good-sized rounded and tapered bail attaches to the top.
