A wonderful antique silver collar necklace from the Victorian era, c1880! Made of sterling silver, this unique antique chain features straight-sided oval links adorned with a beautifully embossed star pattern to the outer surfaces combined with smoothly polished sides; the design intermittently turning whilst wearing, giving a captivating look. The links alternate with smaller polished oval rings, offering a fluid and elegant look on the neckline
There are three O rings blending into the design and a later sterling silver dog clip attached. Stamped '925' to the clasp, chain tests sterling silver.
Measuring 39cm (just under 15.5 inches), this antique necklace sits at the base of the neck or just above the collarbone, depending on your neck size. The addition of three O rings and a sterling silver (later) dog clip allows for easy attachment of your favorite charm or pendant. Additionally, this necklace can be double wrapped to transform into a chic bracelet

The antique necklace presents in good condition. Under close examination, there is some age-related wear and tear to the smaller links, which is normal for the 150 or so year age. The clasp works well. A wonderful Victorian piece! |
