A lustrous Mikimoto pearl necklace from the mid to late 20th century! The Mikimoto cased pearl necklace comprises of a single 18" long strand of eighty-three luminous Akoya cultured pearls. The pearls measure 4.50mm - 7.90mm and are meticulously positioned along the strand from smallest at back neck, to the largest at the front.
Indicative of the superior Japanese Mikimoto pearl brand, the pearls display a spectacular surface lustre and exhibit lovely cream hues with subtle pinkish rose overtones, hallmark traits of the prestigious Mikimoto brand.
A stylized textured rectangular-shaped sterling silver clasp signed with Mikimoto's signature "M" in a clamshell frame fastens the necklace. The necklace has been professionally hand strung onto white silk, ready to go.
The princess length of 18 inches (45.5cm) drapes beautifully on the neckline, making it a versatile accessory that can be layered with other favourites or worn alone for a classic look.
