A wonderful and unique French wristwatch convert pocket watch! This antique beauty dates to Edwardian era, c1910's. The beautiful flowing floral organic engraving to reverse of locket is reminiscent of Art Nouveau period. An open face design shows off ornate rose gold colour hands, old English-style numerals and gold-tone minute dots with a diamond-shape every 5 minutes. A classic white face allows for easy reading. Bordering the round watch face is engraved flowing detail. Fob watch has been serviced by a professional watchmaker - gaining a few minutes per day which is not unusual for antique mechanical watches. Fob watch sits securely in expandable four claw holder which has a spring loaded expansion band with integrated tongue clasp and safety 8 catch.
Fob watch maybe worn as pendant too- a jump ring could be added to top near winder if you wish.
Both fob watch and band are made in .800 silver. The fob watch bears French crab hallmarks placed inside back case and movement cover, along with maker's mark 'L F' in diamond lozenge. The watch band is stamped '800'.
