A beautifully detailed vintage sapphire and diamond band from the mid 20th century, c1960! Handmade of 18ct white gold, the band features four natural sapphires interspaced with three twinkling diamonds which are all resting flush in a slightly elevated single row. The bright natural sapphires display mid blue hues and are fashioned in lovely square table cuts, weighing approximately 0.32 carats total weight. The sapphires are nicely contrasted with three fine white single cut diamonds of E/G colour and VS clarity, estimated 0.06 carats total weight. Adorning the band is hand engraved sides, fancy triangular grooved shoulders, and milgrain detail along the stone setting edges.
Inside the band bears a gold guarantee stamp "18CT", denoting 18ct gold and a 'drawing compass' which is ascribed to Frank Mcabe jewellers of Adelaide, South Australia.
Finger size of the ring measures Q (Aus/UK) or 8 & 1/4 (USA).
