A beautiful three stone ruby and diamond ring from the mid to late 20th century, c1980! Nicely hand-crafted in 18ct yellow gold and white palladium, this timeless vintage ring features one natural bright purplish red ruby flanked by dazzling white baguette diamonds. The classic oval-cut ruby exhibits a gorgeous saturated 'raspberry' red hue. Its estimated weight is 0.87 carats. Flanking the sides of the ruby are fine white baguette diamonds of approximately E/G colour range and VS-SI clarity range, weighing approximately 0.20ctw. The stones are set into low mounted white palladium open claw and bezel side settings, the white settings contrasting with the stone colours beautifully. Making up the rest of the ring is a tapered yellow gold band. A slight concave profile to the top of the band gives a nice overall dimension to the ring, band width measures 4.50mm at top to 2.00mm wide at base.

The vintage ring presents in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no damage to the mount or stones. The ruby does have some typical facet edge abrasions consistent with age, albeit this is only seen under magnification. All stones appear secure in their settings. A gorgeous vintage ring!
