A wonderful antique gate bracelet from the Edwardian era, c1910! Made of 15ct rosy yellow gold, the elegant design features four elongated rows interspersed with smaller sectional links, all interlinked by concealed pins that provide a supple and graceful fit on the wrist. The bracelet is secured with an integrated tongue-style clasp, complemented by an additional safety chain for extra security whilst wearing.
The absence of stamps on the bracelet, which is typical for gate styles featuring an integrated clasp, has been verified through an XRF test that confirms the piece is made of solid 15ct gold. This particular alloy was prominent during the Victorian, Edwardian, and early Art Deco periods, recognized for its rich, warm yellow gold appearance. Production of 15ct gold ended in 1932, lending the bracelet a distinctive antiquity charm.
The bracelet measures 18.50cm (7 & 1/4") in length and 8.80mm in total width.
