An exquisite pair of marcasite dangle earrings from the Art Deco period - circa 1925! The elaborate design features flower and foliage profiles, amongst a tapered elongated design. A single marcasite rail curls and wraps around at bottom. Screw-back (non-pierced) fittings are attached along with a characteristic Deco-shaped design which sits on the lobe. Adding extra glamour is the milgrain finish - accentuated around individual setting edges. Stamped with the old "SIL" to back of one earring as well as one earring fitting, tests sterling silver.
