A timeless vintage band with a blue and white sparkle, dating to late Art Deco era, circa 1930's! The band is made in 18ct yellow gold, as well a platform of 18ct white gold where the stones are set. Bead set alternately is seven synthetic blue and white gemstones - a very popular gem of that era, and often used to imitate sapphire and diamond. Perhaps the most charming part of the ring is the exquisite hand-carved detail which displays to the top half sides and ends of setting. Attention to detail is evident, right through to the white gold top plate where the gemstones exhibit a carved milgrain-edge border.
The ring is stamped "18CT" "APEX" on the inside of shank. Apex was the brand name for Australian jeweller G.E Rodd - a leading Australian manufacturer of jewellery in the late 1930's, up until 1948 when the brand changed to 'Rodd'.
An elegant and charming vintage band, suitable as a wedding ring, anniversary ring, eternity ring, or as a stack ring!
