A ladies statement watch not for the faint hearted! This sterling silver watch dates to around the 1970's. It's a very distinct asymmetric modernist design and sure to please the lover of chunky silver jewellery! The gleaming bangle band fits snug around the wrist. It fastens at the back with a fold-over clasp which clicks securely into place. A smooth bezel surrounds the face which is a navy blue colour with white hands and batons. Unfortunately the navy face bears damage - there are scratches to the enamel placed near 6, 10, 11 and 12. The back of the watch is stamped "RW "0.925" and German silver hallmarks (crescent moon & crown mark).
A working 17 jewel mechanical movement times the watch superbly (not skipping a beat in 24 hrs!) - a wind of the crown before wearing each time is needed to kick start the cogs! The watch is a substantial size on the wrist measuring just over 2" inches across top.
A vintage statement watch for the lady with distinct taste!
