A sweet pair of carved four-leaf-clover nephrite earrings! The earring fittings are recent attachments and made of sterling silver. The earrings feature a hand carved vintage natural nephrite jade stone. Each depicts a four leaf clover (aka shamrock!), the front side is a smooth polished surface and the reverse side is unpolished. The colour is a mid 'spinach' green with some darker inclusions indicative of the natural nephrite stone. The clovers measure 15.50mm across and are 3.50cm thick. The peg loops to the nephrite are slightly different in style and colour (one has a slight gold-tone appearance), however the slight variation is not noticed whilst in the lobe. A brand-new hinged lever-back sterling silver fitting are securely attached to the clovers, allowing them to dangle freely.
According to Irish tradition, a four-leaf clover represents good luck, as each leaf in the clover symbolizes good omens for faith, hope, love, and luck.
A gorgeous pair of clover earrings! The perfect little 'Irish' accessory for St Patrick's day on the 17th day of March...
