A handsome gents pocket watch from the Art Deco era, c1926! This all working stylish gents pocket watch is made by the notable Omega watch company. The quality casing is made of 9ct gold and it is signed 'A.L.D' denoting Dennison Watch Case Co, one of the largest watch case makers for high-end watches in the USA. The case features a lovely engine turned pattern with a charming monogrammed front. The timepiece winds at the top, and the cover flips open to reveal a beautiful pure white Omega dial with gorgeous Roman Deco numerals. Very crisp and easy to read the jet black numerals stand out against the pure white dial. All in all it's in wonderful condition and at the bottom there is the sub-seconds dial as well. Signed "OMEGA" at the top and "SWISS MADE" at the bottom of the dial. Hallmarked throughout the case; stamped "375" "9" denoting 9ct gold, "anchor" denoting Birmingham, date letter stamp "B" for year 1926, and "A.L.D" which was the assay mark for Aaron Lufkin Dennison (aka Dennison Watch Case Co). The movement cover plate is hand engraved with words "From Mother and Father 27th July, 1926" ...adding a charming sentiment to this special timepiece!
A wind of the beautiful ridged crown powers the mechanical Omega movement, which runs well, not skipping a beat within 12 hours!
