A original Victorian Regard ring, a sentimental yesteryear love token which has been set with a gemstone acrostic. The first letters of the gemstones correspond with the word "regard"- Ruby, Emerald, Garnet, purple coloured paste representing Amethyst, Ruby and clear paste representing Diamond. It was not unusual for Victorian rings to be set with a mixture of precious gems as well as pastes.
The edges of the setting feature pretty scroll wire work, whilst the shoulders and band is decorated with hand-engraving.
A charming Antique ring which will always be admired... and a ring which is becoming increasingly hard to find we might add.
