This enchanting Victorian locket features ornately engraved motifs which is filled with symbolism. The engraved forget-me-not flower symbolized true love and remembrance whilst the ivy engraved on the reverse of locket symbolized  fidelity. These types of symbolized decorative motifs were popular in the Victorian period. This beautiful locket is accented with a stunning turquoise blue enamel which forms a flower and surrounds the engraved forget-me-not flower. The locket opens to reveal on one side an ambrotype of a young child which sits behind an original glass and locket frame. Ambrotype can easily be replaced with picture/s of your choice.
