A sweet Victorian crescent brooch embellished with white seed pearls. This petite brooch dates to late Victorian circa 1890-1900. The graduated seed pearls are placed along the crescent moon - smallest measuring 1.30mm to 2.40mm at centre. The seed pearls are more than likely natural as this brooch dates back before cultured pearls were invented, however the pearls have not been x-rayed.
The brooch is crafted in 9ct gold with a metal pin and 'C' clasp. There is no stamp, however has been acid tested to 9ct gold. The gold colour is the lovely antique warm yellow rose hue.
An adorable piece of antique celestial jewellery..
