What a striking antique pendant this is! This antique pendant dates back to around 1900-10's circa. The four natural turquoise gems feature vein like inclusions of it's host rock (matrix), the colours vary from greenish/blue to a 'sky' blue colour centrally. Each turquoise is set into a double four claw setting and in-between there are four natural seed pearls placed on the end of a knife-edge rail. It is stamped on the oval jump ring, although difficult to decipher, it looks to me like "9CT". Pendant tests as 9ct gold. Overall pendant measures 35.8mm/1.4" drop (inc ring) x 28mm/1.1" across
Attached to pendant is an 18ct gold necklace, the fancy "cable" link is lovely- it is old and we're surmising it's around the same age. We acquired the pendant and necklace together and feel the two compliment in style and colour gold, and so, left as is. The numerous stamps near clasp are unclear, we have XRF tested as well as acid tested for 18ct gold. Length of necklace measures 44cm/ 17", the link measures 2.8mm wide.
