A superb vintage bangle dating back to 1966! A design which would look beautiful alone or stacked with other gold bangles or bracelets. The front half of bangle exudes vintage with graceful scroll foliage engraving and a coil-like wave flowing along both sides. Back half of bangle is plain and tapered in width. Bangle measures 11.6mm wide at top half down to 6.5mm wide at back half. For a little versatility bangle could be worn on both half's .. plain side one day, patterned side the next! An integrated tongue catch secures into place nicely, there is a safety chain for extra security.
Bangle bears English hallmarks for Birmingham, dated 1966. Makers marks "S & P" is that of Smith & Pepper, a renown jewellery manufacturing firm in Birmingham, England, which traded between 1899 and 1981.
Hollow bangle is oval in shape, making it a more comfortable fit on the wrist. Bangle would suit a woman with a small to medium wrist size. Measuring 2.25" inches diameter (taken across inside bangle). Superb vintage condition!
