A beautiful carved cameo shell (named cornelian shell!) the profile depicts a very detailed and wonderfully carved profile of a woman's head and shoulders with soft flowing hair, adorned with embellishments. To add further charm to this vintage brooch the 9ct gold border is decorated with alternate bow's and flower's ...every so pretty! There is a pin and 'C' loop at the back, also attached is a 9ct gold safety chain/ pin for extra security.

This brooch dates to around mid century, it is made from solid 9ct gold (tested to confirm), stamp is located inside the bezel setting, just visible - "9CT". Gold colour is a soft rose hue.
