This timeless vintage compact opens up to reveal a mirror and powder net, with a charming powder scent too! An elegant little handbag accessory, even still today! Crafted in sterling silver and dating back to around mid 20th century this compact would easily slip into a small bag, or jacket pocket. A simple, yet lovely engine turn pattern decorates the front and back. Hallmarks placed inside rim indicate Birmingham origin, dated 1947, as well sterling 'lion passant' which is placed on the opposite side too. Makers mark 'A Bros LTD' is that of renown Adie Brothers, of once Frederick Street, Birmingham.
Patina has been left- exuding a vintage feel! Can be polished, as level of polish is a matter of taste.
