A lovely vintage nephrite jade necklace this is! The elongated nephrite jade pendant features carving of flowing lines and foliage-like form, the carving is to both sides of pendant. A gold-tone attachment with bail attaches to front of bead necklace. The colour of pendant is a lovely light-mid spinach green.
The nephrite jade beads along necklace measure 5.10mm - 5.20mm. Each jade bead is well saturated with some varying tones of the spinach green. Upon close view some lighter streaks and dark flecks can be seen. There is a lovely level of vitreous-greasy lustre to each. Overall beads and pendant amalgamate beautifully.
Adding a little uniqueness to necklace is a coral charm which is carved into a sweet rose bud. The coral charm dangles elegantly at the back neck. It is attached to a safety chain with bolt ring for access. Jade beads are strung onto a sturdy green thread - a silver-tone barrel clasp secures at back. The thread appears reasonably firm so have left as is. Total length of necklace measures "18" inches or 45cm.
