Here we have a solid 10 gram tribute medal or otherwise known as a fob or medallion. It bears the full set of English hallmarks for Birmingham, dated 1937, along with the makers mark- "W&D"
The circular scroll design of this medal is charming. There is a slim scroll placed along the top and below is formed into a peak. The focal features three 'flying' darts with a darts board, along with a partial wreath and a scroll (where engraving beckons)! The reverse is engraved with the words "W.F. Robinson A.B"
The original patina has been left ... adding extra vintage charm! There is a ring and large jump ring attached to top - the jump ring bears the sterling silver lion passant hallmark. Jump ring would accommodate a good sized 6.50mm gauge chain.
Today, this unisex medal would make a wonderful pendant on a antique or vintage fob chain .... or perhaps a add-on to that fob collection!
