This lovely all working ladies marcasite watch dates back to around 1950's. The rectangular-shaped case and fancy Art Deco style band is encrusted with sparkly marcasite gems. The hinged case is made in 0.935 silver (a slightly higher silver standard than 925 sterling) and the lugs and band is sterling silver; crown and fold over clasp is not silver. There is a hand-engraved pattern along the sides of case which give a charming vintage flair to this watch. The dial is a deep cream colour with some discolouration and marks consistent with age. The easy to read dial has numerals and black tone hands, painted on the dial is the brand "RELIDE" & "15 JEWELS" SWISS MADE".

The manual-wind 15 jewels mechanism is in working order with a simple wind of the crown needed every time it's worn to kick-start the cogs.

The case measures 22.00mm long x 14.20mm wide and the decorative band measures 10.50mm wide near lugs tapering down to 5.40mm wide near clasp. The silver-tone ladder style clasp gives a slight variance in the length - from 15cm to 16cm. This watch would best suit a small wrist.
