A charming antique seed pearl brooch from the Victorian era, c1890! Made of 15ct yellow gold, this beautiful piece features applied Etruscan Revival details of wirework and granulation throughout the front surface. An applied rectangular plaque accented with five natural seed pearls decorates the center of the brooch. The elongated stylized design has trefoil terminals, scalloped central edges and granules interspaced along the sides. So pretty and ornate! A typical c-clasp and metal pin attaches to the back of the brooch. The brooch measures 4.50cm long.
Striking on the collar, this beautiful Victorian brooch would make a lovely addition for any antique jewellery enthusiast!

The brooch presents in good antique condition. Upon close up view under the magnify there is slight wear to some of the granules, and one small wirework loss which is commensurate with age. Overall, and to the naked eye, the brooch presents in excellent antique condition. The pin works well with good tension. |
