A beautiful oval vintage locket this is! Made from 800 Silver this locket features a divided foliage engraving with lattice pattern to top. The engraving to front reminds me of a French design, so im surmising this locket to be of French provenance, one of the hallmarks are unclear stamped to ring and along side of another stamp which looks like "800"
Attached and nicely complemented is a belcher necklace which tests 800-900 silver, this can be worn several ways with the locket attached; one with the swivel attaching to locket and draping like pendulum, another is to attach bolt ring to swivel, so it doesn't sit as low. This necklace came with locket, so we left as is.
Locket opens up to reveal an old photograph of a well dressed man, in which you may like to replace with your own photo.
