A natural lapis lazuli bead necklace dating back to Edwardian era, circa 1910 or so. This very short choker strand consists of varied sized natural lapis lazuli roundel beads, ranging from 9mm- 12mm, more than likely untreated. Colours vary from a greyish blue to royal blue and mauve, with gold flecks seen upon close up view of some. The lapis beads are not consisted in colour or size, giving them a little more character, than say, the uniform lapis strands on today's market.
Each lapis lazuli bead is connected with a gold wire, the gold wire is not testing as gold, and is more than likey gold filled/cased. A bolt ring and gold wire formed in a 'coat hanger' shape attaches to the back.
This necklace is very short measuring 37cm or 14.5", it can be worn as a double wrapped bracelet too, depending on your wrist size.
There is a matching pair of Lapis Lazuli earrings selling separately, they were acquired at the same time.
