A fabulous antique fob chain from the early Edwardian era, c1900's! Made of solid sterling silver, the smooth lithe curb links feature a dangling t-bar and two-tone award medallion. The 15" inch length would make it suitable for a short necklace or double wrap bracelet. The heavy rounded curb link is complete with original dog clips at each end and there is a further length of chain which suspends an attractive antique medallion and separate t-bar. The pierced fanciful Edwardian-era medallion has decorative engraved flourishes and boasts an applied rose gold plaque decorated with a wreath, shield centre and scroll atop. There are lovely engraved accents and letters 'BAFC' are engraved to the shield. The reverse bears an engraved inscription "W.A LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 1902-03 S.AIREY" along with a set of Birmingham hallmarks for year 1902. The chain is stamped S.S for sterling silver to the dog clips, as well as the t-bar. Likely Australian provenance.
