A lovely vintage cameo pendant from the mid 20th century, c1950! This wonderful piece is made of 9ct rose gold and features a beautifully carved shell cameo. The cameo depicts a creamy white face and shoulder portrait of a young woman which graces the centre of the piece against a peachy tone shell background. The charming detail of the Romanesque carved portrait includes a curled hairstyle, drop earrings, necklace and an elegant cloth which drapes across her bust and shoulders. The cameo is secured in a four split-claw setting, and a fanciful scalloped interval border gives further charm to this wonderful piece. A jump ring and very sturdy v-shaped bail makes up the rest of the piece. Stamped '9ct" to the bail and "9c" to the frame.
