A sweet original vintage marcasite and pearl brooch! This brooch date's back to around the 1930's, it was made in Germany, which is where a lot of marcasite jewellery was made before the second word war.

The 3d design depicts a five leaf flower with a single 6.7mm ivory cream coloured pearl set centrally. Pin and revolver clasp attached to the back.

Marcasite

Marcasite jewellery has been around for centuries with early examples discovered in Egyptian tombs and in Incun ruins. Marcasite was particularly popular in the Victorian era and with Art Nouveau jewellery designers.
