A timeless blister pearl ring dating back to Edwardian era, circa 1900-1910 and Australian origin. Shown-off in a fully enclosed bezel setting is one 7.0mm lustrous blister pearl, the subtle silvery-blue hue is lovely and unique to see. The blister pearl is more than likely natural, as this ring dates before cultured pearls were invented, however the pearl has not been x-rayed. The pearl has a very small imperfection- a notch along edge, this does not impair on the overall look of ring .... personally i think it adds antique character!
The ring is hand-crafted in 15ct rose gold. The hallmarks indicate this ring to be Australian origin with the 'hanging sheep' 15ct caratage stamp. This stamp was used in Australia between 1889-1920. The gold colour is a lovely warm & subtle rose hue.
Head of ring (or across bezel) measures 8.20mm, the shank forms a high dome profile with shoulders narrowed, heightened and squared. Shank width measures 1.85mm at base to 1mm wide at shoulder. Finger size measures 7 1/2 or O 1/2.
A timeless antique pearl ring which would easily suit with today's fashion...
