A pretty ruby and spinel cluster ring from circa 1970! The ring is made of 9ct yellow gold, and 9ct white gold setting and shoulders. Dazzling from an 'illusion' top plate is one synthetic verneuil 'hot pink' ruby gemstone and eight synthetic white spinel gemstones. The 'hot pink' central ruby against the white gold adds a gorgeous pop of colour, and the surrounding white spinels scatter a bright twinkle at every turn! The stones rest in a circular top plate with little gold beads securing the stones. The top plate is adorned with a grooved star design, giving further depth and character to the vintage ring. A tall and sturdy six-prong setting supports from below with a marquise shaped shoulder upswept either side. A flat 4mm wide yellow gold band makes up the rest of the ring. Stamped "9ct" inside the band, denoting 9ct yellow and white gold.
Finger size measures 'P' (Aus) or '8' (USA).
A gorgeous vintage ring which would look beautiful worn alone, or can be easily stacked with other rings!
