A lovely estate smoky quartz dress ring from the late 20th century! The ring is made of sterling silver, and has yellow gilding remnants surrounding the outer bezel, giving a subtle two-tone appearance. Resting at the centre is a square cushion cut smoky quartz gemstone. The smoky brown quartz features checkerboard pavilion faceting which adds extra character and scintillation when viewed from the top. Estimated weight of the smoky quartz is 4.80 carats. A raised double bezel collet holds and shows the stone off nicely, finished with a touch of milgrain edging detail. A fine and slightly tapered shank makes up the rest of the ring. No hallmarks can be sighted to the ring, tests indicate sterling silver.
The finger size measures 'M' or '6' USA..
A wonderful everyday estate ring which is versatile to be paired with other yellow gold, or silver jewellery pieces.
