A beautiful antique hand chased locket necklace from the Victorian era, c1900! The locket is made from 9ct gold back and front covers, and bonded to a gilt metal frame with gold filled chain and fittings. The locket features ornate hand chased patterns to both sides - floral motifs decorate the center front side and there is an unmonogrammed shield cartouche to the back... perhaps where your initials beckon!? You could easily get lost in the spectacular hand chased detail on both sides! Inside the locket reveals two old photo's, you may like to remove and replace with your own special keepsake, we'll leave that to the new custodian. A lovely shaped bail makes up the rest of the locket, suspending beautifully from a vintage rolled gold trace necklace which is included. The chain measures 43.50cm (17" inches) long.
