A charming two stone diamond ring from the mid 20th century, c1956! Handmade in 18ct yellow gold with platinum claws and shoulders, the ring features two brilliant cut diamonds which sit atop of stunning filigree detail. The bright diamonds are claw set and have an approximate total weight of 0.25 carats. Each diamond scintillates beautifully, graded whilst set as nice F/H colour and VS-SI clarity. The detailed mounting is stunning with ornate handmade filigree work, fine platinum millgrain accents, and finished with a beautiful etched design down each shoulder. A plain half round sturdy shank makes up the rest of the ring.
Accompanying the ring is it's original Graham Bros case, as well as an original receipt of when the ring was purchased... back in 1956! Graham Brothers jewellers (today trading as Graham Jewellers) was an iconic 20th century jewellery store run by two brothers in Adelaide. The ring is in immaculate condition for it's 65 year age, appearing to have had very little wear over the years - the details retain a bright, crisp appearance and the filigree carving still sharp!
A wonderful diamond ring from a bygone era, gorgeous on the finger and would make a very special engagement ring!
