A charming antique perfume bottle from the late Edwardian era, circa 1913! Made of sterling silver and glass bottom, this beautiful antique vanity piece was made by one of the most notable English (Birmingham) silversmiths of the day, Levi & Salaman. The perfume bottle is decorated with an engine tuned top and royal blue enamel ring around the inner edge. The hinged sterling silver lid opens to reveal a gold wash interior, and is complete with a stopper as well as the original pink cotton fluff inside the lid (adding to the antiquity charm!). The bottom of the jar is decorated with a hand cut starburst design. To one side of the lid rim bears a crisp set of English hallmarks, dating the piece to year 1913 (letter 'O'), Birmingham origin (anchor) and maker Levi & Salaman (L & S).
A beautiful quality antique vanity piece, and today could still be utilized for it's original purpose as a luxe scent holder!
