A fabulous vintage sterling silver Scottish brooch featuring a celtic zoomorphic pattern in Arts and Crafts style. The brooch has a full set of Edinburgh hallmarks on the reverse, indicating circa 1965. Alongside the hallmarks is the maker's mark "JC" which is that of James Coull Ltd of Glasgow. A pin and revolver clasp completes the piece. The good sized brooch measures just under 2" inches across.
