A fabulous, unique antique fleur de lis brooch! The focal features an applied fleur de lis motif which is encrusted with ten rose-cut diamonds. The background is decorated with a stunning vitreous, royal blue enamel which is slightly recessed, and bordered with a white enamel, gold dotted surround - exhibiting quality craftsmanship! It is likely the enamelled fleur de lis focal originally started it's life as a ring, or perhaps button in the Georgian era (the style and enamel colour reminiscent of Georgian era). Then later in the Victorian to early Edwardian era been remodelled into the safety pin brooch it is today.
A safety pin makes up the rest of brooch, accented with a small 2.30mm pearl at each end. A safety chain pin is attached for extra security.
No stamps or hallmarks are seen to this piece, a test indicates 14K yellow gold and silver fleur de lis motif
A wonderful fleur de lis pin, it would make a special addition to any jewelry collection!
