A gorgeous ring boasting one juicy carnelian gemstone! The ring started it's life as a brooch, but has since been nicely converted into a more desirable, impressive ring with a strong Art Deco influence, dating to around 1930's circa. The eye is drawn towards the juicy burnt orange carnelian gem - a unique elongated eight sided shape. The well polished and faceted carnelian is semi-translucent and has a beautiful vitreous lustre at varying angles. Sitting either side of carnelian is gold geometric-form shoulders, their placed on an angle which adds a further dimension to ring. A solid rounded 2mm wide band makes up the rest of ring.
Ring is crafted in 9k and 18k yellow gold - the setting and shoulders made of 9k yellow gold and the band 18k yellow gold. Stamped "18c" to band and "9CT" to setting. Ring measures 18.10mm along finger. Finger size is Q 1/2 (AUS)
Something a bit different, one the woman with distinct taste. Would make a perfect statement dress ring - best worn alone!
