A lovely antique agate bracelet from the Victorian era, c1890 era! The bracelet is rendered in a deep gold fill and comprises of nine oval links featuring a natural bullseye agate in each. The colour of the agate is almost black to very dark brown with a milky-white rim to each agate stone. The oval cabochon agates are a wonderful match and each has a nice waxy-gloss lustre. Each agate rests in a bezel setting with solid backs. There are rings either side of the bezels where a little dome-embellished link attaches the larger links together. A concealed tongue clasp secures the bracelet and there is a safety chain adding further security when worn.
The length of bracelet measures 7 1/2" inches (19cm) long and the average bracelet width measures just under 2cm. No stamps are sighted to the antique bracelet which not unusual for these types of Victorian pieces.
