A wonderful vintage S. Kirk & Son cuff bangle from the mid 20th century, c1960! The vintage cuff is made of sterling silver and features a wonderfully detailed etched pattern of the rose flower and foliage along the front surface. The cuff has a nice convex profile with a solid 38+ gram weight, it is open at the back with rounded ends, allowing it to slip onto the wrist. The cuff measures .8" wide and the opening is around 1.50cm, with give. Inside the cuff bears stamps "Rose 15-6" and "S. KIRK & SON" "STERLING". Kirk & son was a prominent USA silverware firm which started trade in the early 19th century until 1979. The stamp "Rose 15-6" denotes the flower of the month series "June's flower - Rose" cuff bangle. These monthly floral designs were done on their timeless #15 sterling silver cuff bangles for a limited time around the mid 20th century.
A wonderful mid-century cuff bangle, perfect for the Rose admirer!
