A lovingly-loved antique wedding ring from the late Victorian era, c1899! The ring is made of 9ct rose gold and descends from England. Hallmarks inside the band reveals the rings birth-date was 1899, birth city Birmingham, and the makers mark "W.M" is possibly that of William Manton.
There is 8 little panels on the outer surface, each panel hand-engraved with a different design and separated by two patterned grooves; scrolls, foliage, geometric criss-cross and one panel appears to be a Christmas tree! There is an aged gentleness and smoothness to the ring, the engraving is no longer crisp as it would've once been 120+ years ago, and the ring sits comfortably flat on the finger.
The ring measures 4.50mm wide and the finger size is 6 3/4 (USA) or N (Aus) the ring can be sized as it has been previously, however bear in mind in may interrupt the panelled engraved nature of the ring.
A beautiful Victorian wedding ring with oodles of sentiment. Lightly polished and ready to adorn the finger of the next wearer!
